Clyde O. Morris

Morris, Clyde O., Allegan, died Friday, September 13, 2002 at his home. Mr. Morris was born September 6, 1916 in Valley Twp., the son of John E. & Minnie Platt Morris. Clyde loved nature. He farmed in the Allegan area most of his life, he enjoyed building things out of wood and just being in the woods.He attended Monterey Center United Methodist Church. He worked as a manager for many years with Otsego Sanitary Milk Products, Clyde also worked with Wedge Oil and Milbocker Construction. Surviving are his wife Lucille Coon whom he married June 1, 2002, 1 daughter & her husband, Patricia & Robert Grinnell of Kalamazoo, 5 step children; Vivian Nowakowski of Parchment, Maxine & Robert Cook of Wayland, Wanda & Ken Tiggleman of FL, Sharon & Lawrence Kamyszek of Wayland and Don & Charlene Coon of Hopkins, 1 grandson, Kevin & Rhonda Grinnell of Comstock, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, 1 brother, Basil & Jean Morris of FL, 3 sisters, Ellen Bell of Benton Harbor, Esther Gates of South Haven, Reva Tuhacek of Grandville, 1 sister in law, Sally Morris of Allegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, 6 brothers, Ray, Allan, Don, John, Walter, and Maynard, 2 sisters, Rena & Elsie. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. Rich Goldsmith will officiate. Interment will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. Memorials may be made to the Monterey Center United Methodist Church.
